Moving Books!

Earlier this week, we began moving our collection of books from the 3rd floor down to the 2nd floor to make way for some changes & improvements this summer.  The move is scheduled to conclude by mid-to-late June.

Our apologies for the extra bumps and noises you may hear as we use the elevator, replace the books on the shelves, and move the shelves around to accommodate.

To avoid our noise & dust!: We’ve started moving the books to the 2nd floor by the Reading Room, and will continue to go backwards from the Reading Room to the opposite wall.  We’re mirroring our progress on the 3rd floor, so we’ve started pulling books near the Law Review Office, and will continue to go backwards toward the study rooms on the opposite wall.  Below are library floor maps of the 3rd floor and of the 2nd floor with arrows pointing toward the direction we’ll be moving the books down:

Please Note: We will not be moving any books on the 1st floor during this time!  We invite you to study on the 1st floor, in the study rooms, and in the Reading Room with the doors closed for maximum quiet.  The 2nd & 3rd floors will continue to be open for study during this time, but we appreciate your patience as we get the collection moved.

If you have any questions or need help locating a book, please let us know!  We’ll be working as quickly as possible to get the whole collection moved by June, but we’ll be happy to answer any questions and assist in finding any books you may need.  Thank you!
