U.S. Department of State Releases Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2014

The U.S. Department of State Country Reports on Human Rights Practices for 2014 are now available.  The introduction to the reports notes certain trends:

  • the brutality and atrocities committed by non-state actors;
  • the use of technology in combating and carrying out human rights violations; and
  • the growing recognition of the correlation between corruption, human rights abuses, and repressive governance.

The online interface allows the user to search by country or region. The Build a Report features allows the user to easily assemble and view issues across geographic areas and countries.

This is an outstanding research resource that is available for free online.
